FAQ

Empowering Children Through Intentional Invitations of Play

What is play-based learning, and why is it important?

Play-based learning is a child-centered approach where children learn through exploration, creativity, and hands-on activities. It’s essential because it fosters critical thinking, social skills, and a love for learning in a natural, joyful way.

What are invitations to play?

An invitation to play is a set of intentional educational materials that encourages children to play and learn through open ended exploration. They can also be called play prompts, provocations, or makerspaces. The purpose is to encourage imaginative play, develop skills, explore sensory experiences, spark curiosity and wonder, build self-confidence, practice goal setting and negotiation, and more.
